2013 Transfers and Acquisitions

Postby Agent 86 » Sat Jul 13, 2013 3:54 pm

Yea, needed a better name.

A belated start but guess what?

Retired Rider Ale-Jet to return August 1st with Omega Pharma Quick-Step! Looks like Lefevere finally realized Cavendish needs a truck load of riders to get his sprint on, enter Ale-Jet, well now Ale-Diesel or Ale-Boster Rocket as he's done sprinting and only wants to lead people out, how do I sign him for the Saturday group ride ;)

He has been a bit invisible this year, maybe that factored in?

Wow, wanting to go out on top would be any professional's goal, don't you think? They certainly achieved a lot in the TDF this year. Can't say that I blame him for saying "stop", as L'Equipe's headline put it.

Yup... Stuey confesses

Another only one time user of EPO? :? and in scared small quantities not syringe full doses.

He confessed or only admitted to what was obvious, I mean the pharmacy was only over the border and EPO could easily be bought by him all alone on any random day, so once...

They've been saying that Rigoberto Uran is heading to Omega Pharma-Quick Step ever since the Giro, and I would imagine this will be one of the first we hear about after the (August 1?) window opens.

Well the obvious transfers are done:

Alessandro Petacchi, Rigoberto Uran and Mark Renshaw to QuickStep (I hate the Omega bla bla prefix)

Surprises were

Lieuwe Westra and Franco Pellizotti to Astana!

Guess Vacansoleil is tits up now :( , then Pellizotti to Astana puts a big monkey wrench on their MPCC membership and well looks like Vino is giving the MPCC a bit middle finger and probably weakening it a bit, then again they may claim him now and only bench him till May, who knows but if he can race according to his ban then why can't he race? Otherwise the ban should still be on, its total BS to keep blocking riders after they've served their sentenced time. These sub rules or "moral" rules which are not UCI official are really just BS, doping continues.

In Chaos critical transfer news!

Graeme Brown re-signs with Belkin! Wheew for a moment I thought Brown was out of cycling.

Andreas Kloden is out for 2014 as far as the new Trek formation goes, rumors of other teams but nothing solid (IAM).

Maxim Monfort also out as far as being on the new Trek formation, but solid rumor of him in talks with Lotto.
